Crafted in 100% wool for warmth, this black dress coat falls to mid-leg and features military-style trim up the chest punctuated by a row of fabric covered buttons. The tab collar and cuffs are accented in black.

Made from 100% wool, exclusive of trim. Torso and sleeves are lined in 100% cotton. Imported. Dry clean only. Available in sizes 36 - 52.

Sizing Notes
Our coats are made with typical American sizing, meaning your chest measurement (in inches) is the size you should choose.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size.
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves.

Handsome, elegant, subtle
The coat is lovely. I will take it to my tailors for some minor adjustments. The Duke of Wellington look is great. I regret that I've not yet merited the Order of the Garter, which was usually the only honor he wore while on duty, but I'll do what I can.

Great Coat
I do love the coat. The reason I gave it 4 stars is, first, I wish the black accents across the front were a different color. They seem unnecessary in black. The second, I wish the coat was thicker. For the price I expected a heavier coat. It seems a bit thin for the price point that it is at. Other than those two points it is a great coat.

If I Only Had the Shoulders
I bought my normal size of coat, a 52, and this coat fits the size in all areas but one. That being the shoulders. The shoulders hand a good 4" down my arm. I guess I needed the body of Hercules for this to have been a good fit. Unfortunately, this problem cannot even be solved by a tailor. This pattern should be re-thought. If I was not in such desperate need for this coat, I would return it. But due to the circumstances I am stuck with it.

Bad fit
This jacket is nice to look at but the shoulders are huge. The waist fit was perfect but it would never fit anyone's shoulders. It also has some kind of white threading on both arms which is a bit cheap looking. Like the design but not thrilled with the fit or quality for the price.

Slim Fit with Wide Shoulders
The Pros: great quality coat for the price! The fabric feels and looks realistic for battle and camp use. Not too fancy but a very nice coat. Liner is realistic, too. I really liked the design and concept of this, and for the price, it can't be beat. The Cons: the fit and the buttons. It is incredibly slim-fitting, except for the shoulders which are very oversized. Basically, you'd better be in battle-shape to wear this: like a 22 year-old Marine with arms like pipes and no body fat. I tried a size above what I wear and it was too small around the waist and gargantuan in the shoulder. It wouldn't be worth it to take it to a tailor: too expensive. The buttons are difficult to work and feel insubstantial. It would be easy to replace them with something you prefer.
