Everything was as advertised.

I had to return a blouse that was too small. The website recommended ordering a replacement rather than doing a straight exchange, and returning the too-small blouse for a refund. This was suggested as the fastest way to get the right size blouse quickly, rather than encountering a possible processing delay with an exchange. This worked very nicely. I got my new blouse in a couple of days and my refund a day or so later. I had dreaded the hassle of an exchange, but this method worked very smoothly. Happily, the blouse was packing in a standard USPS flat box, on a hanger, folded neatly with two pins and covered with a plastic sleeve. The blouse was ready to try on, and easy to repack neatly when it didn't fit. I don't expect to need to return any future blouses I order now that I know how the sizing runs, but it was nice to learn that returns were nothing to be dreaded.

Over a number of years I have purchased numerous articles of clothing. As a SASS and NCOWS competative shooter it is getting to the point that I have more 1800's clothing, from Historical Emporium, than I have modern clothing. All of it is excellent quality, historically correct "cut", wears like iron, fits well, and sized as advertised. The customer service, when I have used it, was friendly and efficient. Great store for good old fashioned Quality. With lots of wood, leather , silk, versus plastic, vinyl and Made in China. For example I bought silk suspenders which are usually made out of stretchy polyester. Where else would have that. In addition the suspenders had genuine leather button anchors. They cost more but I am willing to pay for the quality.

Quality fabric and high quality in the workmanship. I highly recommend their products.

I have been actively reenacting the Old West, since the late 1960's, and have performed in both live action shows, and films, which required extras, and stunt people, familiar with the West, and the Indian, and Civil War, periods. But, in those days...if we could not find the actual, authentic, clothes, and equipment to use...and the wardrobe department was unable to provide the proper items...we hand made everything we wore, ourselves. There were NO places like the Historical Emporium in existence at that time. So, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your firm's existence! I am now 70 years old, having just reached my 50th year of marriage to the same women, whom I MET in a STUNT SHOW, playing a Saloon Girl, where I first talked to her ON STAGE, for the first time. In celebration of this anniversary, we are throwing an Old West Party, on my ranch near Austin, Texas...where everyone dresses like its the 1880's...inviting everyone we know. This is why I bought my things from you people...and I cannot be more pleased I did so! Thank you!!
