bought this for an historically flavored event. i had a few positive comments on the shirt, it fit nicely, and was comfy as could be expected. i am 6', 230# but if you are bigger, order a bigger shirt ! this size won't be good for anyone larger.

I have been particularly please with the Fundamental Work Shirt in slate blue. I am a demonstrating blacksmith at a colonial historic park and this shirt fits both me and its period perfectly. The color is very, very close to natural indigo and the fit moves well for active work. At this price I plan to acquire several more.

This is a casual shirt with a simplistic, frontier style that I like a lot. The color was lighter than I expected - but this is good because I find I can wear it with all of the vests and dungarees of different colors that I have. The fit of this shirt is loose and comfy. The back stitching has a great, subtle, frontier look. Perhaps this shirt can be made in the color black? I think the style of this shirt plus the color black would give it a very dramatic look.

Shirt seems to be well constructed and fabric is quite lightweight, great for summer. It is too big however. Ordered a Large for my neck size, which is a 16, and I can fit my hand into the collar. I sadly threw away the tags and packaging before I could really try it on with the vest I bought previously, so unreturnable. It's a good shirt, nice metal buttons, but if you buy one, size down!

This isn’t a costume shirt, it’s a dress shirt designed to the style of a former era, so I expected a lot and it is nearly perfect. Purchased for a Regency/Bridgerton costume to wear with vest and stock. My husband has sensory issues (autism, ADHD) so nothing but a cotton or linen shirt works. This was the only 100% cotton one I found. Seams and buttonholes are dress shirt quality, as expected. No loose threads. Collar has a loop on the back to secure a tie. Collar is double thickness and opaque, stands up on its own but will need ironing and starching. Body of the shirt is slightly translucent - without a vest, an undershirt will be necessary, but it will be cool in summer. Cut is era-appropriately boxy to loose. Lots of ease across the back with pleating. My husband is a chest size 44, but shoulders are 46 so we ordered XL. Turns out he could have sized down to L, as the shoulders are 1/2” past his natural shoulder, but as Regent shoulders were drop shoulders anyway, we’re keeping it. My husband is 6’, but with a 31” inseam so his torso fits like a 6’2” person. The length is perfect, and even at 6’4” you likely could get away with it, though it may be a little harder to keep tucked in is you’re doing more than walking and sitting. We’re very pleased with the shirt and I suspect he’ll look for other occasions and ways to wear it, because it’s so comfy. Photos are hung up wet to drip dry. Relatively wrinkle free, but needs ironing and collar...

Quality & workmanship of clothing is excellent and I expect that they will last for many years.... and Never go out of style. Thank you! I plan to order additional items in future.

I interpret as an undertaker in Ohio in 1898. We provide a variety of events including working/living in a 19th century village. I fully recommend this shirt as it looks very good/authentic and it's comfortable.

After years of using modern tuxedo shirts, my Dickens caroling group decided to go with more authentic shirts to fit the Victorian period theme. This was exactly what we hoped for.

While I have not wore the shirt yet, I am debating between this shirt or the White Pleated Dress Shirt to wear at an upcoming wedding.

I bought this shirt as part of my 1880's costume. It looks great and fits almost like tailor-made. The only thing "bad" I could say about it is that the fabric seems a little on the thin side, but this is really a very minor point.

Superb quality and exactly what I was looking for. Due to my short size I needed a large neck and chest size and this works perfectly. The sleve length was quite long however. I wish that there had been a sleeve length in same size 8 inches shorter. But, I have a Tailor that can take care of that. So, I couldn't be happier with this shirt. I may just get a couple more.

Loved shirt

Not all Poofy Shirts are made equal. Bought this Pirate Shirt in a 2X for my boyfriend. He's 6'5" and, well, just bigger, and this shirt fit him like a yoho-ing piratey dream. The cotton fabric is a very nice quality, heavy with a little bit of knit feel to it, and the lace up closure at the chest, is just perfect to show off manly manly chest hair. The shirts came right away and the overall quality is very good. My only issue is with the pockets on the right chest. Your picture does not show pockets and a pocket does not belong on an 18th Century shirt. I would try to remove the pockets, but I feel sure the needle holes would show. I am a demonstrating 18th Century blacksmith, and I really like my shirts to look correct as to period.

Now this is a great quality shirt with a lot of unique qualities! The fabric is very thick and heavy. A thick off white/beige linen look. Looks great tucked in or left out. If you leave the shirt out, it is a bit long but I'm sure a tailor at any dry cleaners can take the hem up a couple of inches if desired. Really great look if you like this style. Shirt looks like it can last a lifetime and goes will with jeans and boots. Good purchase, well worth the price!

For the purposes of daily wear, this is one of the best shirts to buy from the emporium. It works well with any work vest, and I have only received compliments whenever I've work it. The shirt is comfortable and easy to wash. This definitely belongs in a worker's wardrobe. I bought two!

I wanted to get a comfy yet slightly stylish shirt for a Steampunk convention and this one is perfect. I live in a hot climate and tend to get overheated easily. This shirt did a good job of keeping me comfortable. It's loose but not so billowy that it looks like a pirate shirt. The collar is just right for a casual look or a slightly dressier look when paired with a vest and tie - which is what I wanted. It's held-up really well in the washing machine. No loss of shape. Great shirt!

This shirt makes me look more like a Victorian gentleman, especially when I have the collar stand up. Its a good addition to my wardrobe and I always feel like a Victorian gentleman when I put it on.

I purchased the Victorian Men's Dress Shirt with the High Stand Collar in black for my steampunk Halloween costume. I paired it with the Crimson Commander's Vest for a factory forman/ engineer look. Following the sizing guide I was a bit nervous of the fit, being a Plus-sized gentleman. I was quite surprised to find the product properly enveloped me. Living history day at a fort demonstrating log hewing. I was able to move comfortably. Although not strictly accurate for the early period, it was great fabric and design, well executed construction.
