At the ripe young age of 42, this is honestly my first serious pair of suspenders (that weren't clip-on and mock-ups of the ones Robin Williams wore on Mork & Mindy). Combined with a proper set of trousers, I felt way too comfortable. I need more of these in my life. These are worn underneath of the waistcoat so nobody really gets to see them... except my wife as I'm taking all of the layers off. And she seems to think they look really fine on me. As far as I'm concerned, that's the final word.

High quality braces. I ordered the shorter ones which work better (though not perfectly) with high-waisted trousers. it would be ideal if the Emporium carried braces/suspenders specifically designed for high-waisted trousers (e.g. with shorter runner ends etc.)

I knew my trousers would come a bit big so the braces were a must! I wish they came in a smaller size since I had to shorten them as much as they could go, and once I did that, the y-back went up to my neck and it is kind of uncomfortable if I'm not wearing a shirt with a collar, but I expect everything to be a little too big since I am built smaller so I'm not complaining. Otherwise, they get the job done and I especially like the colour!

This is my second ordered item and these live up to every word they say. They look identical to some old braces from my grandfather that he got from great grand pappy, in design. Sturdy and sound. They are a light Khaki color that like the picture when the light hits right seem more a creamy white satin in appearance. If you have just a regular costume quality shirt, you will feel the need to upgrade just to show these baby's off (as I am doing). IF I could give 10 stars I would.
